Monitor occupational exposure to anesthetic gases with confidence.
This highly validated SKC diffusive monitor clips easily to your collar to measure exposure to isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane. For best results, we recommend sampling for the duration of at least one procedure (30 minutes to 2 hours). Be sure to also consider potential exposure during patient recovery, when anesthetic gases may still linger in the air.
The monitor can also function as an area sampler in reception and waiting areas to assess background exposure.
What’s included:
-
Diffusive vapor sampler
-
Prepaid return shipping
-
Laboratory analysis
-
Final exposure report
Technical note: Our validated method uses a GC column that completely resolves isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane. This innovation allows us to accurately measure desflurane in the presence of other anesthetics—a significant improvement over earlier methods, which could only quantify desflurane when it was present alone.
